Some days you may wish to join the studio; others, a quiet afternoon in the garden is enough. There is always something available — and no obligation whatsoever.

Who is Lai Yuen suitable for?
Lai Yuen is for older adults who are largely independent in their daily lives but who welcome good company, a structured week, and the reassurance of a well-run home. We are a lifestyle community, not a medical facility — residents who need nursing care are better served elsewhere.
How do the plans work — can I mix and match?
Companion Circles and the Cultural Studio can be taken on their own if you live nearby, or they can be combined with the Residence Plan. The Residence Plan gives access to all activities as part of the one monthly arrangement. We are happy to discuss what combination feels right for your situation.
Are meals included in the Residence Plan?
Yes. Full dining — three meals daily — is part of the Residence and Lifestyle Plan. Menus follow familiar Cantonese home cooking, and the kitchen accommodates dietary needs with a little advance notice.
Can family members visit freely?
Family are welcome throughout the day during visiting hours. We do ask that very late evening visits are arranged in advance so as not to disturb other residents, but beyond that the approach is open and relaxed.
What is the notice period if circumstances change?
We ask for one calendar month's notice. Life does change, and we try to handle those conversations with care rather than paperwork. Please speak to us directly if your situation shifts.
How is my personal information kept?
All personal and health-adjacent information is held in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). We do not share resident details with third parties and keep records only for as long as necessary. Our full privacy approach is described in our Privacy Policy.
